Paypal Is Out and The Cash App Is In

Full disclosure TheMessageboard.net is not endorsed by The Cash App, PayPal nor are we receiving anything whatsoever for the following post…but if anyone associated with The Cash App would like to sponsor a fantasy football league we definitely wouldn’t object.

So I was listening to a podcast that was endorsing The Cash App. Being the curious guy I am I gave it a download and played around with it a little bit and what if found out will have me deleting PayPal and I will be using The Cash App exclusively to send and receive money. As with a lot of fantasy leagues, members move to different towns and when you like to make the occasional wager with the league on anything from March Madness brackets to Masters pools you need an easy way to send and receive cash. Let me tell you…This Cash App is it.

With The Cash App you can send and receive money with just a click (just like PayPal) but getting access to the money is about as easy as it gets. With the click of a button you can get your Cash Card that will be sent to you free of charge. Now as soon as Cash is in your account you can do things like buy and sell BitCoin, send it to your friends to get in on the next side bet, or you can spend it anywhere Visa is accepted with The Cash Card.

Now what makes the Cash Card so awesome? The folks at Cash App will let you apply “boosts” at the places you frequent. I have only just activated my card today and have used it once but with a few google searches it appears that Boosts are updated and changed out occasionally. These Boosts are instantly applied to your purchase and there is no hassle of having to snap pictures of receipts and waiting for reimbursement. Just apply the Boost, swipe the card and only the discounted amount leaves your Cash wallet.

What kind of Boosts are available and where can you save money? As of the writing of this post, the following boosts are in place and can be used an unlimited number of times (with a 30 minute period in between redemptions).

  • ANY Coffee Shop – $1 Off
  • Taco Bell – 10% off Each Visit
  • Chipotle – 10% Off Each Visit
  • Whole Foods – 10% Off Each Visit
  • Chick-fil-A – 10% Off Each Visit
  • Dominos – 10% Off Each Visit
  • Sonic – $1 Off Each Visit
  • Jimmy John’s – 10% Off Each Visit
  • Dairy Queen – $1 Off Each Visit
  • Kroger – 10% Off Each Vist
  • Last but most certainly not least … Buffalo Wild Wings – 10% Off Each Visit

It is as simple as applying the Boost you want, giving your card to the cashier or server and instantly getting a receipt emailed to you with only the discounted amount deducted from your wallet.

So forget the PayPal account of having to receive the funds from your friends, then wait to transfer it to your bank account before you can spend it. The Cash App is the real deal and until it give me a reason to think otherwise, it will be the only way I send or spend money in the near future.

Right now The Cash App will give you $5 bucks for signing up and making your first transfer if you use this link. cash.me/app/ktrnmxj (I’ll get 5 bucks too but if I know you ill buy you a beer at BWW next time I’m in town)
