Week one finishes 6-7.  Not terrible for a early season feeler, but it’s not time to turn it up a notch and get some winners.

Surprises from week one:
Pelicans being the only undefeated team in the West
Thunder being the only winless team in the West
Magic beating the Celtics?  No one outside of Orlando saw that one coming.
Pistons 4-0 is definitely not what I expected.
76ers need Saric to be better than .265 from 3 if they expect to be successful with Fultz/Simmons on the floor together.
Unders didn’t stand a chance….until you bet on the over.  I swear every game I bet the over this week, they were the only ones of the night to hit the under.

As for the next week……

Mil (-1, 235)@ Min

After the Rockets offer of 4 first round picks for Butler, there’s no guarantee he’s even on the team when this game tips off.  Even with him, the Bucks are still playing better basketball this year.  Get on this line before it moves to -4.

Mil -1

Was (-4.5, 235) @ Sac

The only thing I find appealing about this game is the scoreboard operator.  Both teams are scoring a ton of points early.  What makes that great?  The fact they are both giving up even more!

Saturday 10/27

Utah @ NO

I mentioned NO as a surprise undefeated.  Equally as surprising is Utah losing at home to Memphis.  Winless at home, undefeated on the road.  I look for Utah to keep that trend

CL – Utah -3.5

LAL @ SA

Don’t look for the same offense as their matchup last week that ended 143-142, but still expect a ton of points.  Lakers looked a little sluggish to open the season until Rondo deciding to do some more “slugging”.  Since then, the offense has been much more fluid.

Sunday 10/28

Pho @ OKC

2 days rest for OKC and Phoenix playing the 2nd of a road back-to-back.  OKC wins, but by how much.  Booker left their last game with a hammy injury.  Those of you who have had them, or play fantasy football and listen to “experts”, those injuries tend to linger.  Even if he can play (doubtful being back-to-back) he won’t be near 100%.

CL – OKC -10.5  **Bonus prop – pissed off Westbrook pts+reb+ast o48.5

Monday 10/29

Phi @ Atl

See preview of Was/Sac game for 10/26.  You thought those teams were bad at defense?  Try watching Atlanta.  Whatever the over is, Philly might get it themselves.

CL – o235
