Bye Bye Bell

Well, Bell got what he wanted ..... Again

In Pittsburgh he wanted to get paid and he sat out an entire season while the Steelers, who were contenders by the way, had to find a way to make due without the "Best RB In the League" (his words). Fortunately there was a very capable option waiting to take that RB 1 volume. James Connor was younger, cheaper, and was every bit as productive as Bell and Conner actually contributed more TD's than Bell the previous year.

Then the New York Jets paid him the money he was not asking for but demanding (well, most of it). Now he was goin to show us that he's the Best RB In The League (again, his words). Last year he averaged a career worst 3.2 yards per carry and only found the end zone 3 times all year. Hopefully you didn't waste a fantasy pick on him.

Proof he actually found the end zone in New York
Proof he actually found the end zone in New York

This year much like the entire NY Jets franchise he is off to a terrible start. To be fair he has only played 1 game before finding himself on the IR with a hamstring injury. Kinda seems like a time out to me and in his 1 and only game as a Jet. This year he produced 14 rushing yards on 6 carries.

Now since he isn't getting "The Love" in New York and it's clearly Adam Gase's fault he demanded a trade. We've all seen how Le'veon behaves when he doesn't get his way. The Jets couldn't offload that overpriced contract for an under performing back that hasn't been effective since 2017....4 years ago.

I guess Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown can hang out again on the weekends. Two generational talents lost to oversized egos and childish antics.
